Set up Anio 6 Kids Smartwatch correctly

Here you will learn how to set up our kids' smartwatch and what you need for it.

1. Activate SIM card

To connect the Anio watch with the Anio Watch App, you must first insert an activated SIM card with a data plan into the watch.
Below you will learn how to activate the recommended SIM cards.

Activate Vodafone SIM card:

The following description applies only to the activation of Vodafone SIM cards that were included with your Anio 5 order in cooperation with starmobile.

Activate congstar SIM card:

The steps for proper activation can be found directly with congstar. We explain the individual steps and what you need to select.

Select the category "Retail" and tap "Activate card"
To activate the SIM card, you must verify yourself at the end of the activation process with a valid ID card or passport. This can be done via video chat, in a post office, or via eID.
First, click "Activate prepaid card now."
Then you will be guided through the activation process and follow the instructions.
After entering your card details, you can choose between different prepaid plans.
We recommend the Allnet S plan. It is the perfect plan for beginners with a telephony and SMS flat rate to all German networks and 1GB including LTE 25.
After choosing your plan, you need to register with congstar and enter your personal data and verification information.
You will then be taken to an overview of your customer data and selected products and services and can place your order. Your credit of €7.50 will be automatically deducted from the invoice amount. The one-time starter package price announced on the congstar page is waived for congstar cards that you received directly from us with the watch.
After confirming the selection, you will be taken to identity verification.
Once the identity verification is successful, you will receive an activation confirmation from congstar by email and SMS. Then you will be reachable via your new prepaid card.
To ensure that your watch and the congstar plan continue to work after 4 weeks, it is essential to activate the comfort top-up with congstar. This is the only way to ensure that there is always enough credit on your congstar SIM card.

Activate yesss! SIM card:

The yesss! KIDS Watch plan is already pre-installed on the included SIM card and after registering the card, you have 1 month to activate the plan.

You must now register your SIM card. The KIDS WATCH plan is already pre-installed on the SIM card. To benefit from this plan, only registration is required.

Register contract plan online via app or account manager

Register SIM card: To register via the yesss! app or account manager, please register your SIM card on this page.
Register contract plan online: In the app and account manager, select the yesss! KIDS Watch plan under the menu item "Register contract plan".
Complete the registration: Yesss! requires various personal details from you and a bank account for the monthly fee debit. Please ensure that the account holder and bank details (IBAN, BIC) match, otherwise the registration process may be interrupted and possibly not carried out.
Verify your bank details: To verify your information, yesss! will debit a small amount from your account – this amount will of course be credited to you.
Activation: Your new plan will be activated immediately and available to you. The roaming function will be activated separately. Your previous yesss! prepaid credit will automatically be credited to your first monthly invoice (excluding bonus credit and package contents) and deducted from the first monthly invoice.
Send the signed registration: After successful plan activation, you will find a PDF with your contract details in the account manager or yesss! app – please print this PDF and sign it. Then simply scan it or take a photo with your smartphone and upload it back to the account manager or yesss! app at the same place. This completes the legal part of the contract registration. Note: Please upload the signed PDF within 14 days after plan activation. Alternatively, you can also send the signed PDF – including a copy of your ID – by mail to yesss!, P.O. 2. Deactivate SIM card PIN code

You can skip this step if you are using the Anio 6 Kids Smartwatch with a SIM card from starmobile (Vodafone), congstar, or yesss!

To ensure your SIM card is recognized by the watch, the SIM-PIN must be deactivated. Insert the SIM card intended for the Anio 6 Kids Smartwatch into a smartphone first.

On Android smartphones, you deactivate the PIN code under (from Android 9.0):

3. Deactivate voicemail (necessary for SOS function)

During an SOS call, three contacts you specify are called one after the other by the watch. The Anio 6 calls the next contact after 13 seconds if the call is not answered. If the third contact does not answer, the watch will call the first stored number again.
If you do not answer the call and your voicemail picks up the call within 13 seconds, the remaining SOS contacts will not be called. The watch cannot distinguish between a human voice and voicemail.
Please therefore deactivate your own voicemail (not that of the Anio SIM card) to ensure the SOS function works correctly.

Use the key combination (in the call menu) ##002# and press the call button to deactivate the voicemail.

Call the number 5500. Use the key sequence [2] [7] [2] [#] to deactivate the voicemail.

You can disable or re-enable the Yesss! voicemail at any time:

Online via the account manager or yesss! app under the "Settings" menu, or by calling the yesss! customer service at 810 810 (at the yesss! standard rate) and providing your customer password or PUK code.

4. Insert SIM card

After activating the SIM card and possibly permanently deactivating the PIN query, you need to insert the SIM card into the turned-off Anio 6:

Place the watch face down.
Insert the card slot opener into the slot under the band holder and open the SIM card slot. Remove the band if necessary.
Insert the SIM card into the SIM card slot with the golden contacts facing down.
Push the SIM card slot into the opening until it is completely closed.

5. Connect Anio 6 with the Anio Watch App

Install the Anio Watch App on your smartphone

You need this code to connect your watch with the app. Tap the battery icon on the watch. A QR code and the 15-digit registration code will be displayed below.
Open the Anio app and follow the instructions.
